QCSA Coaches and Assistant Coaches for 2023 CFFA National Titles
Representative Team Coach or Assistant Coach Age Groups for 2023: U/14, U16 Girls, U17 Boys, U21, Senior Women & Men.

Purpose of Position:
1. To represent the QCSA (& its affiliates) in the stewardship of the players in their care throughout the representative season and demonstrate Christian values towards others (including elected QCSA administrators, other coaches, parents from their own teams and that of opposing teams).
2. To ensure the delivery of appropriate preparation, coaching and training to the State Representative team that is chosen to travel and play in the National competition with teams from other states.
3. To actively participate in the selection process of the Representative team in consultation with the other selectors nominated by the Representative Committee.
4. To ensure that all physical needs, as they pertain to the development of soccer skills, are met during the preparation process and during the tour period.
5. To ensure that appropriate spiritual needs as they pertain to the philosophies and objectives of the QCSA, are met while the team is in preparation and on tour.

Responsible to: The Director of Coaching (DOC) and Representative Committee.

Organisational Environment:
The Representative Committee and DOC are responsible for the selection process, appointment of Coaches and Assistant Coaches and the organisation of all supporting activities for participating teams in National Titles.

Conditions of Position:
1. The State Coach and Assistant Coach will not have a child/family member nominating for the same age group the Coach or Assistant Coach has been appointed to.
2. All Coaches and Assistant Coaches will be endorsed by their Club.
3. Must be available for the State Carnival on the 29th of April and 1st of May.

Knowledge/Skill Abilities :
• Ability to work within the Christian framework that supports the philosophy of the QCSA (essential).
• Currently actively involved in club team coaching/management (essential). (Preferably with the QCSA or affiliates)
• Previous experience of coaching Representative teams (preferred).
• Experience as a player at an elevated level (an advantage).

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Uphold by example the Christian values that reflect the objectives and philosophies of the QCSA (e.g., to be fair in team selections to all players nominating).
2. Deliver a competent training schedule suitable to advance the skills and abilities of the selected group.
3. Ensure access to training is fair and equitable for players including consideration of distances to travel and timing.
4. Build a team spirit that moulds the group into a single unit.
5. Instil a spirit of sportsmanship that complements the philosophy of the QCSA.
6. Provide short devotional periods at training sessions and prior to games.
7. With your team Manager be available to provide initial counselling should the need arise.
8. Always be responsible for the safety of team members especially those who are minors.

The successful applicant will be supplied with accommodation, travel (where applicable) and most meals during the tournament.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Game Training Coaching Certificate A
• Current ‘Suitability Card’ holder (Blue Card)
• Preferred: - Senior Coaching Certificate (for U21s and above)
• Endorsement letter from your club.
